Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka was born in Minsk. Sergey (d.2019) was an ice hockey. Aryna Sabalenka, born on May 5, 1998 at Minsk Belarus. Her professional career has seen her be the winner of 12 WTA singles championships. This includes a Grand Slam in the Australian Open in 2023. Doubles is an additional area in which she shines. The US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021 were both taken by Elise Mertens. She took home two majors, in the WTA 1000 and Miami Open in Indian Wells with her Belgian teammate, and completed her Sunshine Double. Four couples only managed to make it happen in women's doubles. Her ranking went from second to third on the World Singles Rankings on the 23rd of August in 2021. Her best ranking was again achieved in January 2023. In doubles however she pushed herself to the top of the list during February of that same year, following the win in Melbourne becoming thus the second tennis player from Belarus to achieve success in this particular area. She was coached by former Russian tennis star Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until the end of the 2019 season, and in part at the beginning of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann also served as her short-term coach between August and September of 2020. Antonio Dubrov is her coach as of the start of 2020. Serena Williams & Maria Sharapova were her models.
